Q: What is the purpose of this auction?
A: To build a market for amazing art that defies convention, specifically art that is ephemeral, immaterial, or is intended to intersect the audience in unconventional ways.
Q: Where does the money go?
A: Revenue is split: 50% goes directly to the artist who created the work, 50% goes to infrastructure and overhead costs.
Q: Is my purchase tax deductible?
A: No, the Radical Practices Live Auctions is not a non-profit.
Q: How can I bid?
A: To become a bidder register at the table in front of the auction tent and receive your bidding paddle.
Q: Is a winning bid binding?
A: Yes, if you bid on a piece and win the bid, you must pay for it.
Q: How do I pay?
A: Payment must be made at the registration desk. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
Q: How do I collect my artwork?
A: After you win the lot, you must go to the information desk to collect your item. All items have a physical object associated with them documenting their existance. If you buy something that is immaterial, then you will collect a certificate of authenticity. Justin Hoover will coordinate the item with you.
